One of the most common problems encontered with Windows XP is that most websites no longer operate in the default Internet Explorer browser. This is because of an encryption technology called Transport Layer Security (TLS). Windows XP only supports PCT 1.0/SSL 2.0 to TLS 1.0, and most websites are moving to TLS 1.2 and 1.3. To break the chicken and egg cycle, download a browser that supports TLS 1.2 from a computer with a modern operating system and transfer the setup files to the computer running Windows XP.
