Windows 7/Why we use 7

From Retro Windows wiki

Because we hate Windows 10.

But seriously though, Windows 7 support is fading quicker than support for XP did. With new drivers no longer around and Wufuc only going so far, Windows 7 is expected to die quickly after ESU ends. Market share for Windows 7 is below 10% in most countries, and hardware that supports Windows 7 natively is mostly out of production and out of warranty.

Using Windows 7 outside of nostalgia is a bad idea, even from the viewpoint of a Windows 7 wiki. Even though a lot of people don’t like Windows 10, this is what Microsoft’s monopoly is forcing on us because they know Linux still has desktop problems.
